This is a great way for families to check out what their child is doing in First grade! I do have a blog tab above you can check out. The blog is updated a few times a year. You will find most of our daily activities in the weekly newsletter. Please be sure to read the newsletter each week!!
I am so excited to have a great year in First grade!! Go RAMS and Cyclones! :)
About me
I am originally from Ames. I attended Iowa State University where I earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Early Childhood Education unified with Special Education. I love working with children and watching them grow as they discover new learning opportunities. I love teaching new strategies to children to help strengthen their learning across all curriculum areas. I am passionate about Project Lead The Way (PLTW.) This is a science program used to engage students in problem solving and partner group work in many different activities.
My husband works for a Case International dealership in Nevada. We have several nieces and nephews. They are SO much fun! My little brother is 13 years old and he loves to be outdoors fishing and hunting. I believe family is an important factor in a child's education. I really encourage families to be involved in their child’s education through daily discussion of how their day went and what they are learning about. Active involvement at home will help children succeed more positively and successfully in their education.
